How can you do a Biopic without talking to her family? Know body knew Aaliyah better then her family. Shame on the people who are behind this! This is disrespectful to her entire family and her fans who still love her. Gone but she will never be forgotten.

I feel as though if the family is not being respected by allowing to be part of this film then their needs to be no film. And if their is a film they need to cast Lolitta Price ... Lokk her up people she looks just like Aaliyah and we the fans need to feel what the Selena Fans felt when jennifer lopez played that role. we felt like she brought back Selena back in real life in that movie!

If Aaliyah's MOTHER has not signed off on this (as well as her best friend and brother, Rashad), NO ONE has a right to make this movie! They knew her best and if they are not ready to tell her life's story, leave it alone! They shared SO much with fans in the wake of their beloved Aaliyah's tragic death. So they should be respected enough to be involved. And if they do not want t, it should not happen! It is just that simple!

I want to say ; I heard years ago there was a making of an biopic on " Aaliyah " , and of the up most respect , you have to include the family ;they where a huge part of her life as well as her friends and family , that was her inspiration ... Aaliyah , was part of my generation , as her music matured and grew " so did I" . She was a rose blooming just at her height of her career it was cut very short . I'm not a racist , but , to start off with a young lady who is not of the race that " Aaliyah " was born into this world as a " Black American " ; the story is already going on the left foot " not fact , but , fiction " ... I sincerely, hope they do right by opening her life to the world !!!
