The only right way a movie about Aaliyah could be created is with the love and approval of her mother and brother and the support of her close collaborators Missy and Timbaland. I would love nothing more than to see Diane and Rashad choose a woman of their choice who they feel closely embodies Aaliyah and make the movie under their watch sharing real and true stories about Aaliyah that nobody else knew. And if they don’t want to do that, everyone should respect that.
