Aaliyah is my idol. This movie should not be produced nor realesed. It was very disrespectful of anyone to not approach the family first and it wasn't a good idea to go ahead and make Zendaya the leading role as Aaliyah. The family should CLEARY choose who plays Aaliyah or any other characters if a movie were to ever be made in her honor

I believe that yes with out Aaliyah's mom agreeing to this movie it should not be released.. Aaliyah is gone now so Mom must speak for her. They should at least let her mom now what information about Aaliyah they will putting in the movie
