Since when did fans have a say so in film making? I personally think it's cool,especially since Aaliyah is her mentor. I think that we as individuals lots sight of what a good actress is all about whether black,white,latino, asian,etc.

Aaliyah is a great star who deserves a movie with the consent of her family, so the story line can be accurate as possible. It is very distasteful to try to reconstruct someone's like without the correct input. Please get some one who actually resembles her.

how are you going to make a movie about someone and you havent even bother asking the family . Interview them to get the real story of who aaliyah was. and to have Zendraya as the main character oh no i seen some auditions and they were awesome and looked like her and she hasnt proved she deserves it but there are others who posted and they let the fans see their potential. .

I'm so against this movie or TV movie being made without Aaliyah family permission. I'm not hating on Coleman but I just think that she can't play her. No one can be Aaliyah. I don't care what the actress has. No actress can impersonate as Aaliyah. It just won't click even a child.

How can a movie be made without her family blessings. There was more to Aaliyah than her career. She had a private, family life also. So how are they going to make a movie without knowing all they need to know about her. Without the participation from her family. Its just wrong and disrespectful on so many levels.
