I understand a sense of urgency to put such a high profile movie/Tv project out to the public, but how dare anyone to willingly put a family, friends and viewers through such turmoil. you should always Respect and honor a person's life by having 100% support of all who is involved in making a BioPic, music, book, interview etc. possible... We honor Aaliyah by her legacy and for her ability to touch everyone in such a way that's magical. Her music and life continues to heal broken hearts, give courage to succeed and try again and proves that you can be sexy without showing all your goods... true fans of Aaliyah instinctively knows when the time will be right for such a feature and no-one will ever be a bigger fan than Rashad and Moma Haughton... this Film/Bio Pic may never be made which is ok.. because how can your recreate such a beautiful masterpiece twice? Aaliyah was a perfectionist, it will take up to 22 years to get such a movie perfect, each year delicately selected, day by day, moment by moment carefully chosen... which will be hard to relive for all who is involved... so it's understandable that the family is upset. You can't just throw Aaliyah's life together as if she was a one hit wonder... it takes pure love and beautiful writings to make such a project.. it has to be perfect. Nothing less! our love for Baby Girl is ongoing. our love for Aaliyah is true. weather personally knowing her or not...the power of 22 years of being such a beautiful Angel here on earth has a lifetime affect on me and other fans. Aaliyah's legacy lives on forever her music/videos/interviews/words of wisdom/signature belly dance/perfect eye wink/hair style and fashion/will always be forever. RIP Aaliyah I got your back! My purple star you will always be. Xo -L

If Aaliyah's family has nothing to do with this movie, than it should not be made...I Love the idea but IT IS WRONG THAT NO ONE HAS GOTTEN A BLESSING FROM HER FAMILY TO DO SO...

They should've taken her family into consideration... It's wrong that they didn't even have the respect to let her family know

They are low down for this. I'm 14 and I have lots of Aaliyah music and I was dying to watch a movie dedicated to her after seeing TLC had one, but now that I see they didnt have approval I want it to be stopped.

I don't like the fact that people can't respect Aaliyah's mother wishes & I also think that making the movie without her families say so , is absolutely wrong and if the movie do come out I will not be watching it

There can be only one Aaliyah. She is still untouchable, in my eyes. So incredibly talented. Soooo beautiful. And her music still holds up today. They should leave her legacy alone, IMO. She is too good for this crappy Lifetime movie.

Its wrong that they not only didn't ask for permission or had the family take part in the choices or upcoming movie but Zendaya doesn't even favor out dear Aaliyah if your going to do something do it the right way ask the family they are the ones who lost a loved one they knew personally at lest get someone who looks like her this is aweful there's more AALIYAH look alikes vs Zendaya check out Lalita Price on YouTube identical twins

If they was going to do this, they could've at least find someone who actually LOOKS like Aaliyah. This is so disrespectful towards the family and fans.
