I am not supporting this movie in any way! Especially since Aaliyah's family didn't approve...I think it's really disrespectful to go forward with a project that her family hasn't approved of. They are the ones that truly know Aaliyah and her story, anything else would just be lies and stuff made up. I hope that her mother and brother's wishes are respected and this movie is stopped

Aaliyah has and always will be my idol til I get to meet her in heaven and the simple fact that she was a very respectful young lady is the reason of love her even more but the simple fact that Vh1 will do anything for a dollar even disrespect her family wishes is main reason I'm highly upset about this whole thing and then to go as far as casting a young girl to play her role that can't even pronounce Aaliyah's name right is even worse. #LongLiveAaliyah #Respect

I do not agree with this filming, especially considering that her family and friends were not contacted in this filming. It is VERY disrespectful to Aaliyah and her family and as a large fan of Aaliyah and her music, I am not happy with this AT ALL!
