Don't make a movie with consulting her immediate family! Aaliyah was big on family and still listened to her mom's advice even when she was 22! She would not be happy with Lifetime disregarding her family's wishes!

Why are people commenting on if zenday looks like aaliyah that doesn't matter. And why are people bad mouthing zenday . The problem is not the actress but it's lifetime trying to put out anything ,and not even have aaliyahs family involved

At first I was on the fence about this movie until News reports state that they will be using the relationship between babygirl and r.kelly in the movie .to me using that disrespect AAliyah because when she was alive she didn't talk about it. This was something that was her personal business . And the fact that her family is not involved in this movie is crazy . If you look at other stars who have passed their family were involved ,the selena movie her family were a part of everything, the buggy movie his mother and son were involved. It just didn't feel or sit right with me.

i think its a good idea in theory. but not having the people who ment the most to banygirl involved is wrong., the movie would be based on her image and based on other peoples perspective , we woulnt get the true sprit of babygirl . and if theres going to be a movie about her everyone she loved and those who had the plesure of knowing her should be involved. peopel like damen dash ,peope like her high school friends. her brother ,farima her choreographer. there cant just be a one dimentail story of her life

I'm not interested in someone else's version of her life! Lifetime has a way of always making a biopic seems cheap and it's not the respect Aaliyah deserves! And frankly, I don't care to relive the pain of her passing away, it's still something I personally struggle with every day! Thanks but no thanks Lifetime...find another star to make a bad movie about!

As a Fan of Aaliyah, I would Love to see a Movie about her life or even hear some unreleased music, However if her mom and brother are against it then We have to respect their decision, I think its wrong how Lifetime or whoever is behind this project has gone behind her family's back to create this.

I want to see an authorized biopic with her family's blessing, like Selena's family did for the slain Tejano singer. I refuse to sit and watch some authorize biopic based off a book someone wrote from hearsay of ppl who want to remain anonymous or from the tabloids and entertainment news. Also if I did want to watch it (which I don't) I don't wnat to hear the girl named Zendaya sing Aaliyah's songs in the movie. It's Aaliyah's move then you should hear her voice.. but we know why she's singing them. No one has Aaliyah's family's permission to use her voice. But they can use the songs since the record label wants to make even more money off her. After all, they did push to to promote the album ASAP and make the videos while she was busy doing other projects.
