I personally think the family should have 100% involvement in the movie. They knew her best. I mean they were her family. And I also do not agree with the rumored casting of Zendaya. I mean REALLY! She doesn't even look like her! The family NEEDS to be involved, and quick. Seriously.

They will be making the biggest mistake of their lifes if they put this biopic out. There's only one babygirl, one angel, one diva, and one Aaliyah!!!! (R.I.P) The fact that they didnt even discuss this over with the family first and foremost is just downright rude, disrespectful, and disgusting. No disrespect to the Disney chic trying to play her but she could never in a million years be Aaliyah or One in a Million. js

If her family did not ask for this or have any part there shouldn't be a movie! Let her test peacefully and show respect for her family.

It's sad that lifetime would do a film without consulting her family or friends the movie would just be what we all saw from the outside looking in. It would not be personal and interesting facts, I'm suprised Zendaya would do something like this all money ain't good money and it's just sad and distasteful. She looks nothing like her so it wouldn't seem real. Keshia Chantel would had made it more realistic and she seems to fit te part, but being that she has class she chose not to do a film where the family was not involved. Lifetime needs to get it together they're doing anything for a penny and are truly heartless for this.

they have no intention in portraying Aaliyah as she was. if they receive family input and permission also casting someone in close resemblance such as Kiesha Chante.

Making a movie based on Aaliyah's life would be okay with me if it was okay with her family. It is beyond disrespectful to make this movie against their wishes.

I don't wanna hear a fake story based on speculations. I wan't a movie based on input from her family and true friends... What kind of biopic is this gonna be anyway? I wan't an Aaliyah movie but it has to be done the right way and on the big screen.

I think this goes beyond Zendaya Coleman portraying Aaliyah. It's the fact that Mrs. Haughton and Ra own the rights to her legacy. If they object to a television movie, then their wishes should be respected. The industry forgets that Aaliyah was more than just iconic singer, dancer and an actress. At the end of the day she was a daughter, a sister and a great friend. For her family especially and her close friends to not be granted any say so is beyond me. Yes, we would all love to see a biographic movie of our beloved Aaliyah. I just think she deserves more than Lifetime and more respect. I'd hate for her legacy to be depicted and twisted in the worst way just how Lifetime always seems to do. We owe her and her family more than that.
I AGREE
