There seems to be a perception that there is a "consensus" in favor of this Route 53/120 extension, which is absolutely untrue. The idea that "this will never happen" has allowed the majority of Lake county residents along this corridor to ignore the issue. If they were presented with all of the facts and asked directly if they support this massive waste of taxpayer money, I'm sure the vast majority would say: "Absolutely not! We are in complete opposition to this Road to Nowhere!" Please reconsider this ill-conceived project and put an end to it once and for all.

Stop the deception that the purpose of 53 extension is to relieve traffic congestion! We now know that the developers and some politicians are holding hands. Stop the next phase which will cost another 100 million dollars the state do not have for the so called engineering study. Which company is hired for the expensive engineering study? Facts are coming out faster than you can handle. It is not rocket science. Just use your common sense so you can keep your career as a public servant to serve the lake county residents. Do not bankrupt the lake county!

This boondoggle has been presented and rejected for over 50 years. It is time to get serious about waste of taxpayer's hard earned money and spend it meaningfully in ways that will not cause further increase and WASTE of that tac money.

I have been lived in Lake County for almost a decade. This has always been a beautiful and peaceful place to be called as HOME. However, latest news about 53 extension have been disrupt my calm life there and brought my major concern. Having all the concerns and issues regarding to the environment, tax burden and impact to the daily life of the people living in the area, as a VOTER, all members of my family are fully against the proposal to extend 53.
