I don't use tolls that cost $1, I'm certainly not going to use one that is $2.5 or more if it is rush hour. This project is not worth the money - could be better spent (or NOT spent) elsewhere

I am concerned about protecting our well-being in Lake County, Illinois, and preserving our valuable land, air and water. Building the Rt. 53/120 extension would do neither. Instead, it would create financial hardships for residents, increase pollution-related health hazards, and impact more than 31,000 acres—more than in all Lake County Forest Preserves! I am not in favor of: · Raising tolls on I-94 · New tolls on I-94 at 137 · New tolls on I-94 at Deerfield Rd. · $1500/yr tolls on 53 for a rush hour commute

I estimate that this will cost Lake County families about a thousand dollars a year of take home pay a year FOREVER, as long as they live in Lake County. Obviously, the poor will be hurt the worst. Shame on Buttwipe Rockingham, mayor of one of Lake County's poorest towns, for supporting this. Also, the poorly named BLUE RIBBON COUNCIL was stocked with mostly wealthy people who do not even live in Lake County. What a group of garbage. And, let's not forget about Aaron "Four Car Garage" Lawlor. (I bet Four Car wants the thing named after himself.)

Widen and improve the current roads.Most importantly, include both left and right turn lanes at every intersection. This will irrefuttably solve the vast majority of transportation congestion in Lake County. Washington, Routes 45 and 21 are perfect examples of the type of projects we should be investing in.

There is no purpose in this project whatsoever. No benefit will flow to any community as a result of the extension, and the project should be discontinued. The purported benefits cannot possibly justify the stated (and likely understated) costs. There are countless projects that could and would better use this money. That this continues to be considered is a mystery.

Our local roads are not prepared for the additional traffic that will be brought to the area. Look at the amount of road construction and expansion Buffalo Grove and Long Grove have had to do in dealing with rt 53 traffic. Our communities simply do not have the funds to shoulder this much tax and financial burden.
