This is so wrong in so many ways. Destroying our wetlands our water endangering our health!! This effects the whole state our wetlands feed the Des Plaines river. The last person that blew up the Beaver Dam probably added to the closing of Diamond Lake Road that sudden huge flow of water from the distraction of the dam.

Please attend to crumbling infrastrusture. Don't create new roads until existing roads and bridges are properly maintained!

I have lived here since 1985. The problem is not a north/south issue. I know due to my morning commute over these many years. It is an east/west issue. It is a public transportation issue. This approach is expensive - $$$, detriment to land and wildlife, toxicity of Lake County's water supply, dissolution of neighborhoods, potentially impacting zoning policy in largely green land areas. The beneficiaries of this approach will, most likely, not be held accountable to those affected as they transit through. This is transparent and blatant disregard for what has been built here and the surrounding area. Who are the beneficiaries of this approach?

Build it now. It's been needed for 30 years or more. I can't believe people keep fighting this. IT IS NEEDED NOW!

Besides the financial impact this would have, I am concerned about the environmental impact that would be felt for generations. Keep our wetlands and open space open and let our wildlife flourish.

Stop this boondoggle. Illinois can't afford this project and it won't ease traffic congestion.

There is no need for this extension. Only thing you guys are doing is to get your campaigns financed by the Developers, the Construction Workers Union and the DOT officials and workers unions. It has zero potential to better the lives of the people who stay around this road or for the people who commute. Do something good for the 'People' for a change.

The Rte. 53 tollway is not a viable option for our country roads, tall grass prairies and wetlands. It is those that spearheaded the creation of our national parks, preserves and natural wonders that are remembered to history, not those that voted to build highways. I vote NO way to those that are seeing this through.

I am against the extension and the financial impact it will have on residents residing in Lake County. In addition, the environmental impact on delicate wetlands, indigenous flora and wildlife could be devastating. If the county wants to address congestion or improve economical develop, expanding existing north-south roads and developing additional east-west corridors would be tremendously cheaper than building this extension.
