We love Oswego, our neighbors and our schools. The main reason that we purchased our home in the Southbury sub-division was the schools; Southbury Elementary, Traughber middle school and OHS.
We are located 1 mile from Traughber and 2 miles from Plank. We are invested in Traughber and plan for all of our children to spend their pre-teen years at that school.
We live so close to OHS, that we can feel the Friday night lights during home football games. Oswego East is 3.5 miles away. Change the boundries to level load the schools. We understand that need, but please leave Southbury Subdivision as is.

Just moved to the subdivision because of the schools and just now found this out. Signed petition and plan to attend meetings. This really an asinine thing to do by the "Boundary Advisory Committee".

My wife and I bought this house, specifically, because of the schools our children will attend. Do not rezone this district. We will be at the meetings in November to ensure this action is halted.

We purchased our home and pay what we pay in taxes for our children to go to the schools that are in our neighborhood. That is the way it should stay!

The children that live in the neighborhood should attend the schools in the neighborhood. This was the reason the house was purchased in this area despite the high taxes. I along with my husband are strongly against the proposed rezoning.

I don't agree with this decision. This decision would not be cost effective to transport our children further away from home.

Strongly against the proposed rezoning to move the Southbury (Autumn Gate) community outside of Traughber and OHS

To me, it doesn't even make sense that our school district is considering such a considerable change. Our decission to choose Southbury as a good place to raise our family was definitively driven by the proximity of Traughber and OHS. My family could be affected on both ends so I will continue supporting our community against this innitiative.

I can't believe this would even be up for debate. Moving our kids from the schools that are the closest to some of the schools furthest away seems very counterproductive for rezoning. I will attend any and all meetings to make sure this does not happen. This is asinine.

I can literally see OHS from my back windows. The reason we chose to move to Southbury last year was because our children would attend the same schools we did, Traughber & OHS. I am ready to attend any meetings necessary to make sure this does not move forward.

I want the zoning to remain the same as it is currently. I am a matter of a few minutes from Traughber and Oswego High School. I especially don't want the value of my home to change because of the rezoning. Start with families farther outside the current zone. Don't mess with families in Southbury.

As a senior citizen, I find that this action is unfair and reprehensible. Who does district 308 think they are screwing with our children's education. Just plain stupid.

I believe that the Southbury subdivision should not be redistricted to Plank MS or Oswego HS.

I agree, OHS and Traughber have been and should continue to be OUR schools for the children of Southbury
