The request to rezone to R3 is clearly not needed. Over the past several years, developments of R3 type projects has exceeded demand. Considering the ongoing initiatives of Purdue University, Purdue Research Foundation, and corporations wanting to build projects around Purdue for research and development, this land is better used as is as R1, single family homes. The desire by any developer to rezone this property is clearly a scheme to develop and flip (sell) the development for profit, with absolutely no concern for the community. DO NOT REZONE TO R3. IT IS NOT NEEDED!

recent road improvements are inadequate for high density housing.
ie. state road 26 and newman rd. roundabout

It would be a nicer location for high quality Stone Homes in the Range of 400 to 500,000. Makes more sense for High Earning Professionals, SAAB Manufacturing, Aerospace Professors, etc.

High-density residential zoning would have many long term negative effects on the Orchard and neighboring areas. Please do NOT approve this change.

Given the explosion of apartments in the area already, I believe additional apartments are not a value added proposition. Apartments that are idle are a source of undesirable outcomes.

This re-zone will have an impact on not only property in the area but travel through the area along an already winding and visually obscured section of state highway.

I am not in favor of this re-zoning change from R1 to R3. This change would negatively impact our neighborhood and this area of the county.

We do NOT need this traffic and congestion out through another pathetic roundabout so far from campus. Way too many bicycles as well on the road in this area that do not follow traffic rules and drive into oncoming traffic.

I ma strongly opposed to the rezoning. It is a terrible location in terms of its access to SR26. It will increase pressure on our already overburdened schools and dilute our fire and police resources. High density housing in a rural setting is like putting an 80 acre farm in the downtown area--ridiculas!

The area west of 231 off of Rt 26 lacks the infrastructure to support High-Density Housing
