Stop the Rezone (Tippecanoe County, IN Case R-2820)

Please do not rezone this area.

We don’t want our country scenery ruined with temporary housing for students. Find somewhere else.

I am opposed to the rezone.

This would be a complete disaster!

We absolutely need single family homes along that corridor. If dense housing is put up it can evaluate the homes there.

High density housing is going up all over the west side. There are more than enough options within driveable distance. Protect property values and public safety by keeping this a single-family homes zone.

I oppose the rezone on SR 26 W. Enough already with the high density housing. All single family homes, quiet neighborhoods, we have enough traffic on 26 W as it stands now with all the development going on around the area. STOP THIS REZONE PLEASE. How many high density housing clusters do we need? Have you looked at Klondike Road and Sagamore Parkway W lately? Also, 26 W is not safe for cyclist, walkers, runners etc. now with the traffic now. Someone's going to get seriously injured. Distracted students on the road, walking, driving, running whatever is asking for trouble. SAFETY FIRST.

Safety and infrastructure are not adequate for this area. 26 through that area is dangerous now imagine students walking biking or whatever else through those curves and hills.

Stop the Rezone! This area needs to remain for future development of single family homes! I purchased my home in this area a little over a year ago and in the County for the specific reason of enjoying the peacefulness that living in a developed single family neighborhood brought. There are several issues: traffic, noise, pollution, maintenance, County budgets, fire and law enforcement, and property values to name a few.

The increased traffic on state road 26 will be a hazard for an area that already has congestion in that area. It is an area with both hills and curves that cause limited visibility. I have lived in this area for 42 years. The steady growth of single family homes has been neighborhood friendly

I urge you to consider the community's voice and Stop the Rezone on State Rd 26. This is residential corridor in the county. We need more R1 housing out this we not high density housing. Please stop this rezone.

With the expansion of West Lafayette, zoning guides individuals as they make investments in homes and businesses. Changing zoning in this area has a negative effect on all of us who invested in homes in this area. Please do not change this zoning.

I oppose the rezoning because I do not believe the existing infrastructure is built to support high-density housing. In particular, SR 26 is a two-lane road with no sidewalk and almost no shoulder. Dramatically increasing traffic along this road, especially by people turning onto the road from such a complex, seems dangerous. Our neighborhood has already suffered several bad accidents at the entrance to our neighborhood in the 5 years I have lived here.

I object to the proposed rezone because of concerns over safety, property values, and stress on local resources (schools, emergency services, etc.).

The Taskforce's detailed work explained why high-density housing does not benefit the community.
