We believe it does not speak to the health and well being of our children. The regulations only cater for affairs inside the school but does not speak to the overcrowding of school transportation. 40 children in a classroom is unacceptable as children are more susceptible to contracting illness and it is easier spread. Children have a low immunity threshold and the actions of the DoBE don not reflect care and is obviously reckless and ill-planned.

Ministers do video conferencing and send our children into over-crowded classrooms. Minister would behave very differently if her child was in a public school. Was unsafe at 500 schools closed but wanna re-open at 3500+ active cases...wheres the logic?
As much as i want my kids to continue with their learnings and not miss this year, 30- 40 kids in one classroom with social distancing that needs to be taken as a precaution due to the virus is definitely not going to work. Safety and lives of our kids is far more important
I totally agree that the reopening should be considered,I have 2 sons and I'm sad to say this that my kids are not much well on a normal which they have health issues and I'm not prepared to send them to soon to school,please reconsider this please.
I fear losing my child to Corona virus. I'm a single mom she is my life. I hope government takes into consideration that kids r innocent if adults are suffering and dying imagine a child. The pain the fear. Come on common sense will show u that it's not the right time for school to open.
We cannot guarantee that these kids will take proper precautions, they are kids ! This could be one of the fastest ways to spread this virus as we have kids coming from different areas Into one classroom and then going back home to go on to spread it to their families. It is too soon !

SA schools should not open until and only if a vaccine is made available to learners. Being a 5eache aide at a special needs school I can assure you there's no way we can be safe unless everyone is vaccinated. There is no other way. Illiterate people are better than dead people.
