Having the detox center in our community will clearly create a threat and increase crime in what is already a beleaguered community. Placing a detox center so close to so many schools is something which will clearly be dangerous for the children and may even cause students to become chemically dependent as drug dealers try to get business from recovering addicts.

I'm against a drug rehabilitation center in our family oriented community. We have been trying to reduce the crime rate in the area and this will certainly increase it.

Once a drug addict the chances that he or she will be cured are less than 5%. The purpose of this treatment is to avoid a jail sentence by showing a clean test free of drugs but afterwards they will go back to use the drugs..

The city council needs to represent the interests of the community, as such, there are obviously individuals involved who have a selfish interest in this project. We need to find out and expose these members.
