Enough is enough with homeless hotels in Western Queens! 3 hotels are being constructed on Queens Blvd & 64th St right now! How long after their grand openings will this mayor dump people into them! Long Island City will have lots of empty fancy condos when the rich yuppies find out they’re surrounded by homeless hotels! Enough already. Go put them in Park Slope!

The city continues to bombard communities with homeless shelters, instead of working on ways of keeping tenants in their homes!!!!!

This neighborhood has always been a quiet peaceful one that is full of diverse people and their families . We shouldn’t have to fear for the safety of our children and families. Homeless shelters
For families is one thing but there are too many men only shelters . These types of shelters are usually where a lot of trouble come from and with so many in such a confined area , it’s bound to be a recipe for trouble .

City View Inn No Longer Housing Homeless Families, Will Shelter Up to 100 Men
https://sunnysidepost.com/city-view-inn-no-longer-housing-homeless-families-will-shelter-100-men
Since City View hotel been used as a shelter, there has been domestic violence spilling into the street, emotionally disturbed people yelling and knocking on people's car windows asking for money, drug dealings, couples smoking marijuana while pushing their babies in strollers at 7 am. This neighborhood has never seen anything like this. Although this neighborhood may look desolate...it is not. We have generations of families living here for decades, we are a diverse group of people from different cultures and walks of life, educated professionals, business owners, blue collar, white collar workers and we all get along and want to keep our neighborhood safe just like anybody else in NYC. City View turning into a homeless shelter for 100 single men only...ONLY means one thing...we need to know who in that hotel/shelter are sex offenders/pedophiles and why weren't we given notice! Everyone here is a victim from the innocent families especially the women and children in the homeless shelters to the families who have invested their money and lives into this community.

It would create an atmosphere of insecurity in the community and fear for property and small business will suffer because of such actions
