A complete waste of money, the traffic through Westerhope is ridiculous anyway following the construction of 3000 houses with no infrastructure

I do not want to see the green spaces removed impacting environmental and wildlife, in addition to the general aesthetics of the main village. Just how many cyclists use this route and what benefits would support this level of investment and disruption to motorists and general public?

That part of Stamfordam rather pavements are already narrow and to share it with bikes is crazy many people who walk to Aldi are pulling shopping bags or on mobility scooters bikes would make it worse plus it will be such a small cycle lane it makes destroying trees and the village pointless

Traffic is bad enough, made worse if a cyclist lane is added.

Total waste of money , not needed. The traffic through Westerhope is horrendous, at a total standstill throughout the day. Was a lovely village

No cycle lanes. The increase in traffic in the area with all the new houses is enough. Cycle lanes would be dangerous! Improve the access roads. Do not destroy the trees! Do not destroy the village!

Westerhope and the road approaching, Stamfordham Road, are blocked with the amount of traffic coming through because of the new homes to the West. Lots of arguments against cycle lanes

Westerhope is congested enough without introducing this. In all the years I have driven through Westerhope I have never seen a bike pass through so I fail to see the need for this waste of money considering the state of the existing road infrastructure. If there is money to be spent within this constituency it should be used to fund a bypass!

Totally agree with what has been said. No cycle lanes, leave the trees alone

How many cyclists would use it. Probably just a couple at the most. Disrupting a whole village for the do gooders. It won’t solve the volume of traffic a tiny village is being forced to have with all the new builds that have no infrastructure in place for them. I’ve lived here all my life and the deterioration is so bad. A cycle path would serve no improvement to the traffic issue let alone the loss of trees.
