Stop the proposed cycle lane on Stamfordham road

Not enough cyclists to use this. Traffic is already terrible with traffic lights and bus lanes

Too much traffic going through Westerhope now.

Absolutely ridiculous idea, roads busy and bad enough with extra traffic from new housing areas.

Trees reduce the pollution and noise.

Traffic is bad enough in Westerhope with all the extra houses that have been built.

ruin another area , you can't even fill a pothole but can build a useless cycle lane

I just can't see how a cycle lane would work here. I live in the immediate area and drive around it alot and barely see any cyclists around here. In my opinion the money would be better spent on dealing with the congestion around stamfordham road and the roundabouts near there and end of West denton way

Waste of time and money!

It's ridiculous to put cycle lane there and dangerous. Thought the council were struggling for money yet want to waste it when people don't want it.

This has gone from a quiet village to a traffic hot spot. Traffic from new estates coming through the village, the last thing we need is a cycle lane, obviously the people who have suggested this live no where near here.

Focus on improving the roadways and traffic flow first please.

Not only will this cause more disruption, but you will be felling well established trees to do it.

I think this is a crazy idea as we live on highfield right ithe flow of traffic is a nightmare to get out into Stamfordham road Please rethink this and mane. Give us the bypass promised when you built all of the new estates

It’s already chaos along there from the lights at Ollie and joes. This would make it worse.

This road is horrendous for traffic to start with at peak times, why make it worse. Fixing the pot holes would be money better spent !
