Leave our trees alone.

We all need trees on this planet. Even the cyclists don't want the new lane or the trees to go. Why are you doing this?

Apart from the fact that the trees shouldn’t be removed for the reasons stated already, why are we installing new cycle paths which will require maintenance in subsequent years when the roads and paths already available are in such bad condition because there isn’t the budget to repair them! Surely you use available money to get our existing infrastructure up to standard before you start expanding it which will only creat additional strain on the budgets in future years!

We need trees to breathe it’s the only thing we don’t have to pay for. There are not enough cyclists to warrant their destruction enough is enough save our trees and our environment!!!

As a resident of Westerhope, it is essential to have the trees to support our environment, animals and humas alike. There is no need for a cycle lane which will cost money and time the council could be investing on the young people who live in the local area. There will be a lot of upheaval whilst this is being carried out which will be really difficult for residents especially if there are no alternative routes to avoid the roadworks created by doing this .

We simply do not need anymore beautiful trees and greenery chopped down as this planet is wrecked enough, and that's not even mentioning the ridiculous amount of money its going to cost, put it to something worth while. 😡

No need for this, NCC are totally out of touch they should concentrate on putting roads right before cycling lanes and while we are on this subject outside the RvI is a bloody shambles.

We do not need any cycle lanes. Try to think more about bus routes and timetables, just look at the amount of time and money spent on the cornice to Hexham cycle lane disruption still going on and you only see the odd cyclist learn by there mistakes this money could be used for better things, eg housing, cutting the grass parks for children, it’s our money we should have a BIG say in how it is spent!!

We need to keep our green spaces and trees. Unacceptable to do this for a cycle lane that will hardly be used

Destroying trees which are helping fight pollution, lovely to see and creating a cycle lane which is unnecessary plus causing more congestion and hazard.

Replacing mature trees which are beneficial to the environment and replacing with a cycle lane is farcical

How can you propose a bike lane which is meant to be "greener" and take trees away? Yous can't even get e bikes sorted legally so why bother with a bike lane?

The trees are more important to the area than cycle lanes.
