Keep the library like it is, I enjoy going there seeking good books to read and the staff in Waveland are always willing to help.

Privatization of government services has not saved any money. There are certain functions that are better left to the government than to private companies, libraries being one. Do Not Privatize the Library!

The library should not be privatized it is a public service that has severed the community well. It should remain in the public domain.

Our libraries are a critical part of our town and county. THEY reflect THIS community, not some number crunching stranger bent on NOT providing us with the best library, staff and programs, but pinching pennies for THEIR OWN PROFIT!!!!!
This trend is abominable and I am SHOCKED that this proposal is even given a moment's consideration.
We will be there to VOICE our vrry vocal opposition. The local gov't answers to us, all of us, not just the influential. Side incorrectly and we will remember come next election.
You have crossed the line, sirs and madams.

I am not in support of privatization which would cut hours, positions and services.

Public libraries are one of the pillars of a free republic. They should stay in public hands. Furthermore, the company that wants to be the manager has a poor performance history. If for no other reason, all employees would be forced to re-apply for their own positions, which would become part-time (read: no benefits), practically minimum-wage jobs. AND the dollars spent will go out-of-state instead of staying in our economy.

Bringing in a management team from another state? Taking our tax dollars out of the area? Let's keep our tax dollars here at home with our local folks.
