Let's Thank Zondervan for Stopping the "God Bless the USA Bible"

Our government was founded on freedom of religion. We are not a Christian nation despite what others might believe. Publishing this will only deepen the divide and increase the hate of and harm being done to people in our country.

This is a sickening abomination.

Do not package civil religion with Christianity. Who has deceived you?

I am signing as a follower of Jesus Christ reacting against the blatant idolatry of this edition.

We've had enough wrapping the Bible in the flag and making the Constitution into a sacred text.

This version of the Bible almost borders on the heretical. It's certainly, as the petition states, can do great harm and inflamming what we know is heretical and what we know is growing in popularity among evangelicals in the US; Christian nationalism. I would hope that whoever makes these decisions could put aside profit motive and do what is right and not print this Bible.

This is so misguided and heretical. What's terrifying is how "normal" this seems to many people, as if to say, "Of course Christianity and American patriotism go together." This is not normal. One way to check people's true perceptions about this is to present them with an alternate scenario. Imagine a Bible, printed in Spanish, with the Mexican flag on the front, and being filled with the Mexican constitution, the Mexican national anthem, and more. Would the same people supporting this version also support a Mexican version of the Bible? I highly doubt it. In fact, I think they would have a major problem with it. That discrepancy reveals their hypocrisy. It's really sick.

I will not use Zondervan text books from now on if this is published. The US constitution and "God Bless the Usa" has no place in any version/translation of the Bible. I am tempted to boycott Zondervan simply for considering this idolatry!

Christ is for the entire world, and Christians' highest allegiance must be to the kingdom of God, not a particular nation. To equate the two is both dangerous and heretical.

This isn’t a Bible, it is an idolatrous conflation of nationalism with Christianity that denigrates God’s Word. Zondrervan has drawn plenty of gold from the American captivity of God’s people, must it now make a golden calf?

Please understand that conflating Christianity and American patriotism is a bad idea.

Please do not mix Christianity and nationalism. This is dangerous and toxic to the Church as well as America. This will negatively impact our witness in the world.

This is absolute heresy. God is not bound to honor any nation nor has he ever promised special status to the US. We are to be in the world, but not of it. Our allegiance should be yo the kingdom of heaven, not any world government. Please do not print the Bible obtaining these fallable man-made documents!

This Bible is a blatant example of Christian Nationalism and these publishers are making money off of a movement that is NOT Christian!
