Let's Thank Zondervan for Stopping the "God Bless the USA Bible"

Down with idolatry.

Seriously publishing this will make Zondervan loose all credibility in academic circles.

Dear Zondervan, I ask you to reconsider. I love Jesus. I love Scripture. And in my humble reading of the text and study of the life of Jesus, this has no precedent. Please do not publish this version.

God is not American. Being patriotic does not make a person Christian. Please do not publish this heretical Christian nationalist Bible.

To include documents such as these alongside the Word of God is heretical. The Gospel of Christ is for all people of all nations and this does nothing short of alienate our brothers and sisters who American policies routinely terrorize.

Comingling a nation's founding documents with holy Scripture is syncretism at best, and idolatrous at worst. Zondervan should know better.

This has the stench of Christian Nationalism all over it. I have no question it’ll sell, but Zondervan should know better.

God is not American and melding the Constitution with the Bible is alienating American Christians from our brothers and sisters in other nations.

Stop this publication. Keep the Bible and govt separated.

Im sure members at my church will purchase this, and it will be to the detriment of our church.

God is not confined to some geopolitical country. To publish a Bible that implies that He is, is heresy. Isaiah 40 says that the NATIONS (that includes the United States and all of America) are as dust on the scales. Stop trying to put God in a box.

For shame! This is blasphemy.

Zondervan, this might be the dumbest thing I've seen a respected Christian publishing house do in many a decade. Combining secular political documents with Scripture? Please, please, please reconsider your plans.

Will no longer purchase any book published by Zondervan if this project goes forward.

The Bible stands alone. No historical documents of any nation are worthy to be included in the same volume with the Holy Scriptures.

This publication fuels the idolatry of conflating faith in Christ with American patriotism. Such a publication would likely sell very well in our current climate. That is precisely the problem. Please don't do this!

Idolization

However well-intentioned, this bible presents Christian Nationalism as equal to Christian faith, which is an insult to classical Christian fatih.

I prefer the scripture not be monetized in this particular way as I believe it only serves to further damage any attempt to bring the nations together.
