This will only continue to fuel the rise of nationalism, which is antithetical to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.
Acts 10:34-35 NIV

The Mission of Christian publishers is to bless the church with good, sound theological education. I fail to see how this publication will bless the american church. It will make it even more confuse

Why is the American condition on par with Scripture? This only serves to confuse and generate division.

I love the Bible, and I love the constitution of the United States. These two documents do not need to be marketed and published together. Please do not promote toxic nationalism.

We are working to see people discipled as citizens of God’s kingdom, and have been challenged by the poor theology of Christian nationalism that enmeshes the Christian faith with an unbiblical belief in American exceptionalism. Please do not publish this Bible that will only serve to further confuse Christians as to the difference between God’s kingdom and the Republic of the United States.

Any nation’s founding documents (or documents that represent said nation) have no business being printed in a book with God’s Holy Word and then marketed to be sold. Nationalism is NOT Christianity. Nor is it exclusive to the United States. I find even the idea of this publication to be abhorrent. Just one more way to alienate our sisters and brothers around the world. Zondervan has lost not only my respect but any future business.

Born again Christian against Christian nationalism. Zondervan, your books are all over my shelves. What a tragedy if you were to put out a book that somehow suggests being American has anything to do with being a Christian. Keep the focus in Christ!

Please. Let's do all we can to inhibit the spread of Christian nationalism. It is toxic, regardless of the country that it roots itself in. We must be about the kingdom of heaven.

This publication only adds to division and does nothing to promote the unity God craves for us.
