Let's Thank Zondervan for Stopping the "God Bless the USA Bible"

This is complete idolatry. Intertwining a nationalism with the Bible is so clearly not what the Gospel teaches. Stop encouraging Christian Nationalism in the US and do not publish this.

The Constitution is a secular document- the First Amendment and Article 6 are completely at odds with the Ten Commandments. It is erroneous and a disservice to both the Bible and The Constitution to mix them together like that.

God bless the whole world. For nations rise and fall but Your image remains.

Please do not include anything political with the perfect and authoritative Word of God.

As a Pastor, I’m greatly disturbed by this printing and I am not in favor of this being published. Please do the right thing and stop the plans for this to be a thing.

Please don’t publish this white nationalist propaganda. We must maintain separation of church and state.

Zondervan, please read the Bible. I think that should make your decision to NOT print this clear.

I urge you: do not proceed with this I’ll-conceived edition. There is a long history of mistakenly viewing the USA as the “City on A Hill,” God’s favored nation with a unique anointing and redemptive mission. We also have a long history of “soft” idolatry centered on the flag and the national anthem. Do not perpetuate these dangerous falsehoods!

Zondervan, what does this tell immigrants from other nations about Christianity?

This combination is inappropriate on multiple levels and will only serve to further the dangerous movement of Christian nationalism.

The kingdom of God belongs to no country and should not be equated with one.

This Bible is heresy!! Please do not fan the flames of Christian nationalism, no matter how much profit you think you'll make from this project!!

This “God Bless the USA” Bible is highly inappropriate, conflating Protestant Christianity with US nationalism. We already have more than enough of that in the US right now, with highly negative effects like the “Jesus and Trump” vibe on January 6 in Washington, DC. Don’t exacerbate the already dire problem of Christian nationalism with this publication.

Please respect the separation of church and state in our democracy by not publishing this divisive "Bible".

Do not elevate the documents of an earthly “kingdom” to the same status of the Word of God. This is blasphemous. My family has sacrificed a lot for the USA and has deep gratitude for it, but our truest home and hope is in the King of kings and his kingdom whose inhabitants will be from every tribe, nation, and tongue. This publication would only serve to take peoples’ eyes off their true King and kingdom and to put their hope in our nation instead. Absolutely shameful, Zondervan.

In normal times, this would be abhorrent. It is particularly tone-deaf in our current times, which are far from normal. I know there will be people who buy this thinking it’s a great thing. It’s not. This is the very epitome of Christian nationalism and it needs to stop. Do the right thing, Zondervan.
