KEEP THIS PUB OPEN AS IT'S A VITAL PART OF THE VILLAGE LIFE.IT'S BEEN PART OF MY LIFE FOR 53 YEARS EVEN THOUGH I LEFT THE VILLAGE 40 YEARS AGO I TRY AND CALL IN 3 OR 4 TIMES A YEAR.

Brought up in Little Urswick and the pubs in the village are great the village would not be the same place with out these pubs

This would be such a shame.
When I was the landlord of the Burgoyne the two pubs used to compliment each other and there was certainly enough business to warrant both pubs.

The Derby is part of the village. I have drank in there for 50yrs. Can't be shut on a whim of a brewery!!
