STOP THE PAINTING OVER OF OUR PAINTED "MOVING UP" BLOCKS!!!

I have wanted to paint a block ever since I was in pre-K. When I see the painted blocks I think of all of the people who have worked so hard on them. I do not like the idea of painting over them because they are a part of the school's history. Don't stop the creativity.

I feel like the bricks make up a big memory wall for all the past students. Please allow students to keep painting the bricks, and don't paint over them.

I would like to know why the "painting over" is being proposed. I find it very difficult to believe anything is more important than preserving history, tradition and school spirit. As a taxpayer, former teacher and very proud alumni, I am profoundly upset by this and would suspect there will be a lot of people at the next board meeting. Shame on leadership for not honoring tradition!

Preserve our history

Everyone who painted a block with Mr. Stonefoot and any art teacher after that it should stay.!! Ik ive been able to show my kids i was here n i did this. it should be there when i take my grandkids too

Who brought this bright idea to the table, and what's the cost to erase these memories, you will be only creating a dichotomy amongst past alumni and current administrators, not smart if this happens.

I disagree with removing /painting of these blocks. Its our past.

Not right. My son loves seeing these paintings. He loved when my boyfriend was able to show him his painting. My son is in pre-k.

Don't take away our history!

This is all of the children's legacy to be able to show to there children and so on. This is something to be proud of not to cover up.

These painted blocks are part of Black Knights history.

Both of my children are on this wall.

Please don't let this happen.I have 3 daughters who have blocks with their names on them. So many memories for so many alumni who still live in this area.

I am an alumni of Silver Creek School (Class of 1990) and I have fond memories of painting a design on one of those bricks. It would be a shame to cover up a piece of history that represents the alumni. Please don't cover up those bricks.

Those bricks mean something. That was one of the things I looked forward to was painting a brick when I moved up. Yes I may not remember where my brick is but the students love looking at the art work some have had their parents go to silver creek so they like trying to find their parents bricks. Some day when my daughter gets older it would be fun to show her the bricks and try to find my brick. Please don't paint over these bricks
