We the residents of the Burnside neighborhood ask you: Congressman, Bobby Rush, State Representative Marlo Colvin, to join us in stopping the move of A. Finkl & Sonsto the Burnside Neighborhood, we are opposed to this move because according to the EPA, Finkl & Sons are the 21st worst polluters in the nation out of 16,000 facilities listed in the EPA's Risk-Screening Environmental indicators database. Finkl chosed Burnside because they thought they would not be met with resistence by residence. The chromium, lead, manganese, nickle and zinc from Finkl's factory are responsible for illinesses such as cancer, lung disease, etc. We are asking those who are concerned about our environment to sign the petition in support of our cause.

The stories shared by neighbors about the health of our community remain the foundation of our work here. I am currently coordinating with local organizers to ensure these concerns reach the officials who have the power to reconsider the placement of this facility.

Seeing this groundswell of engagement reminds me that our neighborhood refuses to be ignored or underestimated. This momentum proves that clean air and public health remain the top priorities for everyone living in Burnside.

Please don't let this happen. There are enough things that cause severe harm to the American Citizens living on the south side of Chicago, IL.

The south side is not a dumping ground for factories that nobody else wants. enough is enough.
