There are 5+ grocery stores within 20 mins of this intersection with one more already approved. The current zoning allows for smaller local businesses to develop this area, making the move to B2 ensures national chains are given priority over small local business.

I oppose this project due to its proximity to a residential neighborhood. This would materially and negatively impact my property values as I’m directly adjacent to the aforementioned development.

We moved here with hopes of always being in a small town without total congestion. Please keep out rural county flare! I agree we do not need more grocery or car washes. I’m very sad our area at Publix is going to be like driving out onto gwinette county roads. A car wash is within two miles of Publix. We don’t need more! And more! If you personally want those services it only takes moments to get to. We don’t have to have EVERYTHING right at our back door. Oconee county needs to stay a rural. We moved from conyers because there is so much congestion there! We would drive our kids 5.2 miles to baseball practice when they were little and it literally took us 30 min to get there. PLEASE STOP APPROVING SO MANY NEW UNNECESSARY BUSINESSES!

I do not agree with developing the land at 53/78 by Striplings. Nor with the new Publix planned to go up by 316/Mars Hill.
I am an Oconee County Resident.

Moved here to get away from traffic and too many people. Prefer the small town feel that we have now. Only asking for problems trying to grow so fast. If something isn’t broke-don’t fix it!

We need to find a way to slow the commercial growth as wells as the exorbitant amount of subdivisions being developed.

I live on Hwy 53. And this project along with all the new neighborhoods popping up are HORRIBLE for overgrowth of our county.
People live in Oconee County because it isn’t overgrown or one big traffic parking lot.
This proposal along with the recent vote to add a round about at Cole Springs, Hwy 53 & Clotfelter Rd. instead of Snows Mill which isn’t actually at the school(s) are horrible ideas.
As a longtime Oconee Co resident I’m not sure who is voting for these changes to our beloved county. But they are clearly not working for us! We need to do better at voting for the BOC & BOE if these currently serving don’t have the current citizens best interest at heart. Our county is great for a reason.

We were runout of Dekalb and Rockdale because the commissioners only wanted the revenue new business could bring in. We like to see cows, cotton, and growing of trees
