These regulations destroy fair and open competition, strangling the LMP2 class and corrupting everything that Le Mans has stood for since 1923. They prevent innovation and creativity: the purpose of Le Mans. Furthermore, they are selective and pander to a privileged few rather than benefitting the entire sportscar community as a whole. I literally hope and expect them to be disastrous.

PLEASE do not follow through with these regulations, limiting the LMP2 class to a single engine supplier takes away the very thing that makes the class (and sports car racing as a whole) intinteresting—VARIETY! Regardless of whether or not there are underlying reasons related to "encroaching" on Formula One, I and endurance racing fans like myself will abandon the FIA and WEC altogether rather than become F1 fans should the WEC become a spec-racing series.

The new rules are designed to make LMP2 less advanced than LMP3

Why? P2 is one of the best supported series outside GT3, this is going to jepodise teams' futures and jobs.

Why on earth would you want to make the P2s a spec series. There is tremendous variety in P2 at present. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

LMP2 is the category for private teams, which don't have the financial backing for LMP1

La diversité est le maître mot de l'endurance ! Pourquoi vouloir en faire une coupe monotype et rejeter par la même occasion tout les " artisans " Châssis/Moteur pour que VW puisse avoir le monopole ? FIA, vous me dégouttez ! Laissez les rennes de l'Endurance aux personnes compétentes !

The proposed regulations to limit the LMP2 chassis and engines is not good for the health of the sport and the sportscar industry. The fans will suffer from the lack of variety. The industry will suffer from lack of opportunity. Yes, a select few will benefit, but many constructors of chassis and engines will lose their staff and the suppliers of those will also suffer from lack of sales of their peripherals. I cannot see anything positive forthecomming if this goes through as proposed.

I fell in love with this form of Motorsport because of the diversity. Don't take away what I love.
