Stop the NBP Proposed Hazards and Comprehensive Zoning By-Laws

We can't let this proposal go through, TAXPAYERS should have been part of this to give their concerns and not have it discussed with EVERYONE WHO PAYS TAXES

If this red line goes through will we stop paying taxes as our property will be of no value. This is so unfair and to do it without notifying ALL TAXPAYERS is not what this council is elected to do

Further review and consultation are essential before by-laws are changed

We purchased in 2017 and when we went to the township to inquire about zoning - nothing was mentioned about EH zones. Our property would be impacted greatly as our cottage would be in the EH zone. We are devastated to know that if this does go thru we might not be able to renew our mortgage and put us in financial despair. I am against the proposed zoning changes for EH to our home.

We just bought a cottage in NBP and will directly be effected by this.

Can't see the benefit to our community in making these changes at this time

The proposed changes to the zoning bylaws and proposed amendments to MNBP's Official Plan as drafted do not serve the property owners of NBP who stand to lose the equity that their properties were purchased/developed to provide them. In NO way do I support the adoption of these amendments.

Please do not force these changes through until we all understand the changes and WHY it's being done. I can not see any upside to this process.

We do not support the by laws being forced upon land owners. We have written letters; attended meetings; tried to speak about concerns; spread the word - but feeling like our "elected officials" don't care.

We need more clarity on how this will affect property owners.

I am totally against the high water and storm surge linez which out many existing structures into an area that makes them an insurance risk. Many of the other changes have similar impacts and will drive people away from living here in North Bruce

We need clarity on all the issues and all the property owners who pay taxes and support the Bruce Peninsula deserve the respect of counsel to work with us to clearly understand and make appropriate changes for all, if in fact changes are really necessary.

I object to the new Official Plan and Zoning changes in NBP. I urge council to step back and put it to a vote on the next election. That would be more fair. Council needs to realize they work for us and should be fighting for us not against us.

Property owners remain uninformed of the impacts on their specific properties such that they can have a comprehensive understanding of the consequences of the new By-Laws to them personally. Letters and emails must be drafted and sent explaining and committing to each property owner documenting the specific current and future impacts on their specific properties (based on those properties locations). Passage of these policies should then be deferred until election of the next group of council members giving property owners the opportunity to choose what kind of representation best represents their interests with regard to these new policies.
