I admire Prince Phillip but to re-name the Fairy Path after him is ridiculous. Plant a large (too big for vandals) tree in the memorial gardens. And care for it. Come on. An oak tree would be ideal.

It's lovely to see the Fairy Path restored but still must be named the fairy path any other name wouldn't be used by locals any ways

Fairy path was magical to kids 60+years ago when I was a child in Maryport Fairy Path it will and should always be.

Why change this name. It has been this for years. I think some other memorial would be better. His Royal Highness was a baby veteran. Could something not be done on the harbour.
