I am a local resident and believe that this development is totally unacceptable given the environmental, safety and social impact.

A definite disaster for this beautiful hamlet. A real "blot" on this stunning landscape. It must not be approved! Environmental impact would be immense!
Never mind the lack of infrastructure in the road network here to accommodate it!

I think it'd be extremely invasive on local households and will create stress on the livestock at the nearby livery and fields. It would spoil the freedom of visiting children enjoying the countryside due to traffic movements and heavy machinery.

This is not a suitable place for this to happen as too close to folks property and will cause havoc around the area . This road is dangerous enough at best of times and when there is an accident near the toll of Birness traffic is diverted via Muirtack road and this causes mayhem without a quarry and its traffic ! . What about all the already well established businesses in this area this will cause them nothing but grievance with the amount of traffic that has to come up to them and the workmen being late for work due to the holdups created with quarry traffic.
This is just a few problems and there will be plenty more if this gets the go ahead. Planners need to think again on this application !

the road infrastructure cannot cope with the quantity of traffic which a quarry would bring

Don't ruin another rural area. The by pass has caused enough disruption. The undeveloped countryside is a rapidly diminishing resource. Let's preserve it for future generations.

I can't believe this has even been considered. ..what a disgrace.
This is directly adjacent to my mother in laws house, she has lived there for over fifty years. ...can you imagine how distressing this is for her and her neighbours.

This road is used by a small rural community and is single track. Quite unsuitable for lorries going up and down at regular intervals.

The roads could not sustained this level of traffic on this road. Muirtack is a rural family community please do not destroy this location by placing a quarry here.

Too many lorries on our country roads and no consideration for other road users whether it be farmers, commuters, cyclists, walkers, equestrian folk not to mention kids. Keep our country roads safe!!!!

It's an absolute disgrace that they would even think about a quarry in the beautiful countryside which has so many young families in the area, not to mention the dangers with vehicles up & down a single track road, which is regularly used by the school bus & parents picking up their children from school,

Why spoil a beautiful countryside area with machines and lorries, not to mention the dust they will generate. No one wants to be constantly inhaling dust particles and never getting washing out never mind the noise and the state of the roads. Put it elsewhere PLEASE

I don't want this quarry across the road from us. Our water well is in the field of the proposed quarry.
