absurd 'improvement' to downtown! Ridiculous waste of TAXPAYER funds and very FEW bus riders are taxpayers other than those that use AM & PM commute buses

Novato Council- it is time you started to listen to the people who voted you in office. Stop displaying the attitude that you know better. And stop chasing the big development money. We need you to work to keep Novato a safe town to live in. I'm glad at least Pat Eklund remembers why she is in office. The rest of you need to follow her lead.

Totally out of scope for community and ridership levels. Current safety issues can be addressed current available funding. We do not need or want added congestion, pollution, noise, traffic in that already busy corridor/intersection. Say absolutely no to this waste and excess.

While Novato is trying to be designated as a suburban city, our City Counsel wants to build a Metropolitan bus stop. Sixty busses an hour, equates to one a minute, do you see that happening any time soon? Who is going to maintain this building?

While Novato is trying to be designated as a sun-urban city, our City Counsel wants to build a Metropolitan bus stop. Sixty busses an hour, equates to one a minute, do you see that happening any time soon? Who is going to maintain this building?.

There is a definite need to address the saftey of pedestrians in both crosswalks. There is absolutely no need for a large bus station here however. Use what available funds are needed to address the safety issues in both cross walks.
The bay bridge handles 10,000 people a day. This facility will have the capacity of twice that much!

Please improve this spot now. When some on is walking in the crosswalk, you don't see them until the last minute. It is not save for anyone.

This is one of the most ill thought out ideas yet. We do not need it and it will lead to more traffic routed through a section of our city that does not have the street capacity to handle it. To the members of the council - How about improving some of the existing features of our downtown like keeping our renovated downtown sidewalk areas cleaner, fixing some of our badly damaged sidewalks, or helping with the opening of the theater? How about steering your efforts towards attracting more businesses into the empty store fronts? I'm all for improving the safety of that bus area, so why not do that and steer the rest of that money that seems to be burning a hold in your pocket into some more sensible improvements. This current idea has bad written all over it and Pat's refusal to sign on to this is the only reasonable voice in this council. Vote this down folks!

Do you know the way to San Rafael? Take a look at the Transit Center there...it is at a freeway junction in an laregely commercial area. Redwood Blvd. , with it's local shops,is in the middle of a small town in a largely residential area. What a mis-use of land and funds. This is NOVATO! There is NO NEED or WANTfor this kind of development. Stop the Insanity!

we the people say no to the development schemes of current elected officials. This is one reason they take a job with little pay.
