This hauler (Dave Elstone) has proved that he will not follow the rules of the regulations

Having lived with this hauler operating behind our property I can tell you that every voice counts in this extremely important initiative you have underway. Our well was contaminated with fecal streptococcus last year. This was proven to be caused by this haulers practices at the site that was located behind our home. Runoff from this site entered the river in front of our house by way of a culvert under Hwy 118. This river runs downstream into Maple Lake. Living with a septage dumping site as my neighbour was a horrible experience. The smell, the dust, the pollution going on and feeling helpless to stop it. Finally the MOECC listened and took action. Our government must do something to change the rules surrounding this activity. Our community is more populated than in days gone by. Our values of the environment are stronger. We have educated ourselves to understand the ecosystem cannot sustain itself under these kinds of pressures. Encourage all your contacts to sign this petition and send your comments to our local and provincial government and the Peterborough District office of the MOECC. Jen Maher-Welch, Haliburton

Our well was contaminated last year by the practices of this hauler. YOU MUST NOT ALLOW THIS SITE TO BE APPROVED. We were successful in having his previous site closed but it was a long and stressful process before the MOECC would listen. You have my support 100%.

This is outrageous that the government is ignoring us even after many letters have been sent to various levels of government

This is ridiculous, the Ministry of the Environment should NOT even look or consider the application for the septage dump site. My Grandparents have had a cottage on Maple Lake for 43 years. Maple Lake is a clean healthy lake!
STOP THIS SEPTAGE DUMP SITE !

Don't let this happen. we can't destroy our water sources and end up like the west coast with no water to spare.

I can't believe that any level of government would entertain a proposal, with the possiblites of environmental disaster, from a person/company with a proven record of not being environmentally friendly.

This is unacceptable I have been a resident here since 1973 to even imagine this could happen is unfathomable . This should not be able to move forward in any way as it will impact the environment around us.

Very opposed. Should not have to deal with the odour as well as any seepage into our lake.

I agree entirely with the statement about how toxic this waster is. This kind of use should never be permitted so close to freshwater lakes and drainage sheds. As well, despite assurances to the contrary this types of land uses are poorly enforced by regulatory officials.

Unbelievable, this must be stopped now. People must pass this along to family and friends to sign.
