Google maps satellite imagery shows the creeks running in the spring thaw. This a good indication of how much run off happens yearly.

The best way to get the attention of government is to embarrass them in the media. They hate it! May I suggest you start with local media (Moose Radio, local newspapers) then expand the reach to the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, CTV, CBC) you may wish to contact the producers of W5 at CTV and the equivalent CBC show 5th Estate... they love these kind of stories. To write to the respective Ministry (both federal and provincial) send only a REGISTERED letter. These are "tracked" and although the Minister may not see it the letter should at least get to an Executive Assistant or Assistant Deputy Minister. Don't waste a stamp on regular mail as it will not get action nor a reply. If you do get a reply it will be "Form Letter B" from some young kid in short pants working for the Minister. Another "hot button" that would get the attention of Environment Canada (federal) would be the concern for the protection of endangered species. (They are big on that). In closing, don't forget the power of the Internet especially You Tube. A spokesperson for the Maple Lake landowners may wish to explain the situation, concerns and recommendation in a video. This video link could be shared to others in emails etc. It also could be shared with media and other environmental groups such as Greenpeace. I recently visited Maple Lake and this pristeen area definitely should be protected.

I find it disgusting that anyone would think of putting something like this in this location. It can't be allowed!

I am so proud to be Canadian and to be a resident of the beautiful province of Ontario but feel ashamed that government officials or bureaucrats could possibly support this facility. Maybe they have never walked the shores of beautiful Maple Lake. Maybe they haven't seen the wildlife that survive because of Maple Lake. Maybe they haven't seen the joy on kids' faces swimming in Maple Lake. But I have walked the shores, seen the wildlife and have family who love living on Maple Lake. Their health and well being is no different from the family members that Kathleen Wynne wants to protect. Ms. Wynne ..this is an honourable goal but requires action to make it real. Act now...protect all families by saving Maple Lake!!!!

My family spends a great deal of time on this lake! How is our health less important than anyone else's? This should be seriously reconsidered! This is not OK!

Dumping sewage into an area that flows huge amounts of water just makes no sense at all. Not so many years ago the volume of water washed away Highway 118 right at this spot. Madness.

I could not believe that this practice is used in Beautiful Ontario. Trust that anyone in government departments care is gone for me.We have a property just at the bottom of the hill where a creek carries groundwater from above !! This practice MUST change!! Now !!
