Do not reroute 50th and Parkway. Shir Tikvah Synagogue stands right across the street from Lynnhurst Community Center and we need to continue vehicle and foot traffic access, as well as street parking.

Leave the parkway alone and stop wasting taxpayer dollars. This reminds me of Save Valley View Park

Very little data to support this proposal and distinct lack of clear communication as to why it would be essential. Safety issues around the church, school, and park are of high concern.

I use James Ave each weekday when leaving work, as well as Sundays and other times when I am at Mount Olivet as a parishioner. James Avenue (between 50th and 50st) is already a VERY busy and well-used road, particularly during the school year. I always use great caution when traveling on this road. I believe that increased traffic would GREATLY increase the likelihood of terrible tragedy to occur. Please don't let this happen!

I wholeheartedly support this petition. The points are well thought out because the residents of the neighborhood are voicing their opinions via their experiences. I am on staff at Mt Olivet, but am not a resident in the area. However - I use the parkway all the time whether driving, walking or biking. Please leave the parkway as it is.

Unacceptable in terms of safety to church pedestrians and youth frequenting these roads to get to church.

Please do NOT pass this! The change in traffic flow would have a negative impact on the community

For the sake of all children, seniors and families. Stop this! Let some city with inferior parks make improvements. Our parkway is NOT in need of fixing!

I oppose this plan, it is already terrible trying to get around this part of town and this will only make it worse. I can’t believe a change this huge would be based on so little data collection. What is the park board thinking? Please listen and pay attention to those that live in the area!

I occasionally drive on the parkway, and as a bicycle commuter I rode along the Parkway from the Ford Parkway Bridge to Lake Harriet more than 1,000 times. The parkway should be kept as it is.

I’m a Mt Olivet member and opposed to the proposed Lynnhurst plan to increase traffic on James and closing the parkway to cars. The petition sums up concerns well, so please take them into account and consider other available options. Thank you.

Rerouting traffic along a busy church and school is a terrible idea and implies you place more value on aesthetics than safety.

Please leave the Parkway as is and reconsider changing the traffic pattern, as it will affect to many folks in a negative way.
