Stop The Lawsuit Against Florida's Tax Credit Scholarships (Step Up For Students)

I am single mother, because of this program I'm able send my girls to private school..the public school are teaching our kids anything

my son was blessed with this scholarship. do not shut it down!!

I think this is the best thing that could have happened for these children and it should not be taken away. i agree every child deserves to have a better chance in life by having the best education.

My daughter is gifted musically and has had absolutley 0 exposure to music in the public school system. Since enrolling in private school, we discovered her gifts and she has been selected to sing in Allstate competition, learned to read music and is learning piano. Her grades are very good and she loves her friends and teachers. She also has the opportunity to worship her Lord in Savior freely at school.

My children are learning in an environment that is helping them succeed... Step up for Students has been a big part of their success!

There is no valid reason to interfere in something that is beneficial to our children. My kids attend a Catholic school since Kindergarten. This has been possible thanks to the scholarships (StepUp For Students). Without programs likes these my children and many other children would not have had the opportunity to go to these schools. These scholarships are being used for "education" not for anything else. Why do they want to take the 67,000 students out of there schools and put them in Public School. It would be chaotic and cause so much problems to the children that like mine are accustom to a religious based school. Have they thought about this? In Miami-Dade public schools are over populated as it is. Now you are going to take another 67,000 children and put them to these over populated schools. I believe that it would be a huge mistake to take this Scholarships away from these programs. Lets worry about making schools safer and not about something that is only doing good to our children. Why not petition about more protection in the public schools, more supervision and invest in making the classes less populated so that kids can learn and feel that they are actually being taught. Where is all the "Lotto" money that is suppose to be going into Public Schools? Why not question that? Lets focus on the gun violence that is killing children in our own schools. Focus on getting drugs off the streets and the school grounds. Why mess with money that is invested in the children, our future!

Why take of something that is helping kids all around. Don't cut kids wings short when they just started to spread.

They need to stop messing with what little bit they are doing for kids that are good, because the public education down here sucks.

This program works well for my daughter she very eager to go school she also learn well at the school she attended.

I had to homeschool my kid because the public school system could not meet my child's needs. The scholarship allows me to help my child with special needs in ways that the publuc school system has not been able to. I find their complaints unreasonable and not justifiable.

This type of situation makes no sense. It seems as though every time a child is given a chance someone comes along and try to put a stop to it. Why is it such a concern, why are you not acting in the best interest of the student. Do we not realize the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. How will our kids every make it if someone is always blocking their opportunity for success.

This scholarship is great. It is giving my child the opportunity to receive the best possible education. I stand behind Step Up!

Stop the Lawsuit againts the StepUP for students.

The private education made possible with "Step Up for Students", is the best thing that happened to my family. I have 9 children, 2 went to public schools because I was not aware of Step Up, they were bullied, traumatized, and end up in antidepressant therapy and even hospitalized for suicidal idealization because of public school traumatic experience. Now the children with the scholarship in a private school, are completely happy, honor roll students, no bad language ever used. We as a family enjoy a more peaceful life because they love to go to school.

why would anyone want to stop something. that is benefiting. children's. life.

This makes me very angry that the teachers union would try to do this! Caring for a special needs child is not easy and certainly not cheap! We all try to plan are best for our future children, but when the unexpected happens it can turn your life and finances upside down! We are just trying our best to give our children the best life and tools they need to succeed in life and for educators to try to stop us from getting the help we need, makes me think twice on whether or not these educators have our childrens best interest in mind. Which is one of the reasons I chose to go the private sector!!!

Step up has fiven us the opportunity to raise our children in a Christian environment. They are excelling in their grades thanks to to the kind of school they attend.
