Why punish parents who want a better education for their kids? If you eliminate this assistance, it means that all these families will have to quit their current school. Think of all the effects. First, the child has to leave a school, teachers and great friends. Results for the child can be very bad. Some children who were forced to change schools, have shown a decrease in grades, and an increase in bad behavior. Second result, the non-profit schools who count on each child they have, can face serious financial hardship. Lastly, what would be the the effect on already overcrowded schools? This program only helps children, and hurts no one. Do you honestly believe that if they stop the program, all this money would find it's way into the public schools? Absolutely not! The government will just hold it or allocate it elsewhere.

You should think of all the kids that eill be affected. My daughters and I are very thankful with step up for students. Plese rethink your lawsuit.

This scholarship has given me peace of mind when it comes to my children. They were in public schools before and were not succeeding when it came to their education or their behavior. The step up for students scholarship made it possible for me to place them where they are not only accomplishing educational goals, I have witnessed a complete turn around in their behavior as well. without the scholarship I feel my kid would be lost in the public school system that sometimes warehouse kids until they can place them in alternative schools or work study programs. Please allow parents and single parents the power to assist their children reach their educational goals.

Unions are notoriously interested only in self-preservation. What's sad and unacceptable about that is that they're playing with our children's education - their future! To add insult to injury, SUFS has no negative impact on teacher's unions or public schools!

Please do not end these scholarships. My children are thriving in an amazing school that we would not otherwise be able to attend without Step Up assistance. This program is an answer to prayer and gives many deserving students a chance at the best education which meets their individual needs.

I am so thankful for the Step Up For Students scholarship. My daughter is in 1st grade and a A+ student she is attending a Christian private school.It would really be devastating for her and I to have to change her to a regular school.Please stop this lawsuit.

Why sue? Spend the money for attorneys to make the public schools better and parents will be OK sending their children, especially their sons to public school.

this is my daughter's 3rd year with sufs scholarship. we are so grateful and happy we don't have to put her in our failing rural public schools. sufs doesn't use tax payer money so I don't see were the FL school board has any say were others donate their money? instead of attacking sufs (that's working) why don't they figure out why parents are taking their children out of public schools, and focus their time fixing that!!
