To the state of Florida School Board: I as a scholarship mother ask why would you try to stop what God has Blessed our children with??? Some of us parents are less fortunate to pay out of pocket expenses to give our children better educations! However with this scholarship program we are able to do so! I don't see how this is hurting or harming anyone! Where is the humanity in this to deprive our young of having a choice to be educated where they choose ! I for one love the fact that my child not only is being educated in the general subjects that are required by state to graduate, but also he is being educated thru God's word! Now let me ask you this if you take away our scholarship program are public schools willing to implement a bible course, even if it's an elective??? I personally think it should be a child & parent right to be able to choose the teaching of the Bible as part of education ! I tell you one thing for sure I personally have monitored myself is that the children in these private Christian schools behavior are a plus compared to the public schools that I myself have observed! I stand behind Step Up For Students and all other scholarship programs that support out kids education 1000% and then some! We shall have victory in Jesus name!!! God Bless! Thanks to step up for students my 5year old son goes to a catholic school , otherwise he'll be assigned to a D school. Thank you for all you do.

I am blessed to have the Step Up scholarship for my daughter. The public school in my district will not support the academic vision I have for my children.

My son needs this scholarship. I switched him from public school, because he was being bullied. His grades were awful. He had awful stomach pains & headaches caused by stress. He even said he'd rather die than continue at that public school. He now gets straight A's and loves school. If he had to go back to public I know he would be a drop out. Please let my child succeed don't take away his scholarship.

I am very grateful for this scholarship, it allows my son to get the education he deserves. As a single mother bogged down in student loans from earning a college degree and not being abe to find any gainful emplyment I am not able to afford the tuition. Thanks to Step up for Students that is no longer an issue and my son is receiving a much better education than he would in the public school system.

Public school system is failing,we need changes in their educational concept.

My children are receiving a top notch education at a private school because of Step Up For Students. The assistance we receive is less than what it would cost the tax payers if they went to a public school. The taxpayers are saving money because of SUFS.

I would be very interested to know what it costs the state to educate a child through the public school system, I can guarantee its much more than my daughters scholarship!. Im so disappointed in the league of women voters for siding with this lawsuit, I would think this organization made up of many many mothers would want the absolute best for their children! nothing surprises me anymore

This scholarship has a been a lifesaver! I don't understand why parents should be penalized for wanting something better than what the government has deemed qualified teaching material.....no thanks to common core...I like the ability to choose for my children to actually be in a school that will provide an education.

As a single parent this program has helped my twins so much dont know what i would do without it as my girls attend a catholic private school and they have excelled tremendously since being enrolled at St Mary School. I feel that my children have excelled tremendously since being out of public school and love the private school atmosphere that my children are in everyday.
