Stop The Lawsuit Against Florida's Tax Credit Scholarships (Step Up For Students)

My son has a language deficiency. He cannot be in public school! He needs to be in a small class and one on one interaction with his teacher. He needs a privet school. We will not be able to give that without StepUp.

This is the first year my son receives scholarship. I am so thankful for this scholarship my son is autistic and this has help us put him in a school were there is less children in a class.

This scholarship is a good opportunity for kids to attend a Christian private school such as my daughter

Step up has saved my childrens passion for learning. Public school's should be thankful that we are withdrawing kids. Maybe they can focus on the lower performing children and help them more! My school used to be an A school. We are paying INSANE rent to live in this zipcode. 4 Kids in a 1400 sqft one story block house. Now it is a D school due to rezoning and an influx of non english speaking kids. My kids became ignored due to more class time being used to reach out to poverty stricken, or non english speaking kids. My children began to suffer, socially and academically. We can't move and this program allowed me to remove my kids from a sinking ship. They are receiving a christian education. I get daily emails on the GOOD things my child does. Public school didn't have time for highlighting achievements, only negativity. I cannot be more thankful for the corporate donations that are making this possible for my kids. I was privately schooled myself and it breaks my heart that the economy has hurt my family income. We tried the best on our own, buy squeezing into a small home in a good school zone and that failed!

What kind of people want to take away a child's opportunity for a better education? Bad people

A good mother always wants her children to succeed in every aspect of life: food, shelter and education. We are the product of our society. Well-educated children is the future of a great nation. Real mothers don't hurt children, but bring hope for a better generation of human kind

Maybe as the court determines best course for this lawsuit they should think about what would happen if all of the families impacted by this determination withheld tax dollars to all public schools these organizations would take a different view. They have no issue accepting my tax dollars for no service rendered. At leat the corporations supporting this wonderful program are getting credit for their investment & some security in knowing that a few of the next generation are getting a quality education .

Shame on you for not doing the right thing for our kids!

Don't trust the public schools Stop and let us choice. You would be hurting my daughter, if you took the Step Up For students program away . She has never been in a public school , and I don't ever plan on putting here in one . I didn't do good in Florida public schools and nether did her siblings !

It saddens me to see the amount of people use such energy on something so simplistic. This program enables parents like myself to have their children grow up with a FULL potential to become productive members of society and not another disgraceful, discouraging, disappointing statistic! As a full time student college student myself, I can't allow this to happen, not now and not to my children. Therefore, I write this petition with the hope that someone can understand whats clear; a child future. Instead of wasting a judges precious time on something so demeaning to hopeful parents , those same people against a special and unique cause should use that tactic to fight for better public school so that parents won't feel the need to go elsewhere for education. Better FLORIDA's publics schools, make them SAFE, encourage our children as suppose to looking at them as a DEAD END and a pointless evolution.

i am a low pay state employee and because of that scholarship ny daughter was able to attend a good school for the past four years. if a good education is not a good way to invest on those kids what is then.

The lawsuit is hostile to children and parents who simply want an alternative education to what the local public schools can offer. Shame on the PTA and Teacher Unions

as a single parent, the Step Up for student has made a tremendous impact on both my son and daughter. Please stop the law suit. After all we have been through this program gives my children the opportunity to have a better future.

My daughter just started kindergarten this year and is a scholarship student. I chose this for my daughter as my oldest child is a junior in a public high school. I cant even begin to tell you the extent of problems my poor son has encountered and the fights Ive had to put up to get anything done for him. In my opinion the public school system failed my son in a manner of quality education. My kindergartner is thriving in her new school and I couldn't be happier. Her teacher wants to do her job, she enjoys her job and its very evident the moment you meet her. I have had several encounters with my sons teachers and majority of them could care less about helping a child. Education should be about who loses money it should be about the EDUCATION ONLY. After all if we fail to properly educate our kids now who do you think will be running this country one day and taking care of us in our elder years.

Messing with childrens education is messing with Americas future and security

I love this program an my children and I would be Devastated if it was shut down.
