I commend the teachers for trying to fight for raises but this is not the street to turn down. Its a dead end. I can't believe you "the teacher" rather take a child's great education away from them so you can live a little more relaxed. I don't think so. I am a single mom doing it all on her own and don't appreciate it one bit. I have been fighting and will continue to fight for mine. Step up for students is a really great program being offered.

Last year the state spent 12 thousand dollars per child for grades k through 12 on state public funded county schools. At the StepUp For Students100% scholarship that is more than double the amount. However, step up for students provides enough funds for a private education or it allows the parents to choose what is best for their children. StepUp For Students coincides with Florida's strong ethical belief that it is important to do what is best for our children. Any argument against that would be a statistical fallacy.

I have no intention of pitting my children in the public school system. This scholarship is a lifelike for my two boys to have a good education founded on our family values. Without it, my children would have to be homeschooled to avoid value differences between our family and the current public school system. FSBA should focus its attention on making the public schools better and bring kids in through achievements rather than trying to force unwilling parents to use their under-achieving schools.

Step Up has been a great advocate for our students. The teacher's union seems to only want what is best for their job security.

My daughter has benefited tremendously from this scholarship. It has allowed for me to have her in a smaller school with a smaller class. She has done so much better. It's a great help for those of us that would not be able to afford it otherwise.

Hasn't the governor cute enough already.... Over all Florida's public education suffers from government cuts, that is why this scholarship helps so many children who aren't in "A" districts get quality education....
Shame on you and you call your selfs educators...;(

My child loves going to this school. This is her second year attending, and she doesn't want to change schools. The scholarship has allowed her to take advantage of this opportunity, and I'm trying to get her siblings enrolled. This is a great program, and it would be devastating to the students if it was no longer available

I have two children ages 10 and 8 who currently have the Step Up Scholarship. This is their second year with this school choice scholarship, and it has helped my children tremendously! They are both 2 grade levels ahead of their peers and grade.
Please DO NOT BAN THIS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR BRIGHT CHILDREN JUST LIKE MINE!!
It really DOES make a difference!

Stop the lawsuit. We as parent , we arevery happy with this wonderful program. Our kids are so happy and the opportunity given is unique. If you have as a parent the option to provide a better education to your son WHY to be agains?
