Please drop the suit. I've never seen my son as happy as he has been going to the First Baptist Christian School. I pulled him out of public school due to a lot of bullying problems. It's such a blessing to know he is happy, safe, and learning all kinds of great stuff. I would not be able to send my son, if it were not for scholarship. Please drop the suit.

This definitely has my vote. It's so sad how the misdirected jealousy of these so-called "special interest" groups will actually end up hurting the very children they claim to want to nurture and support. Add to that the ignorance that they believe SUS funding takes away from their budget, is unbelievable. I don't know if they erroneously believe the privately donated funds can be mandated to be channeled into the never-ending abyss that now is the public school system. I have 1 child in the SUS program and it is heaven-sent. I didn't think private school would be an option and my heart sank when I discovered what our zone's public school options were - the highest graded elementary school was a 'C'. If we expect our kids to come home with better than 'C' grades, shouldn't they at least be afforded the opportunity of an 'A' grade foundation? How can we expect more from our kids than what we expect from the schools teaching our kids? My daughter has maintained a 4.0 grade average in a small, Christian private school with smaller than average classroom sizes, un-stressed teachers and plenty of tools and resources. I shudder to think what would become of her love of learning if she were suddenly thrust into a classroom of 30+ students, with a lackluster teacher who is so frazzled and stressed from lack of tools and resources that they have slipped into the mediocrity zone.Until the public school system pulls its own grades up it should adhere to its anti-bullying mandate and quit harassing programs like the Step Up Scholarship.

Step Up For Students has helped a single parent like myself to put my children in a safe, healthy, Christian learning environment where they are receiving a Christian Education.

Our kids needs the scholarship (Step up) for school who have the faith on God and teach them many values every day and respect with other. This is the most important reason for me as a mom and why my daughter now is in a private school. Please help us to educate better our children by giving them the opportunity to learn important things like God.

This scholarship changed my son's life, he is surrounded by wonderful teachers, and has already made so many memories, If it wasn't for this scholarship I wouldn't have been able to provide my child with so many memories that he will cherish for life, and also with an education that works so well for him. He's shaping up to be a responsible, respectful young man. This scholarship needs to stay. This is opening up a lot of doors for our children, children that will one day be in charge of this country. They are the future,do not tamper with their lives!

I would like to keep the help that the scholarships provides. When my husband was out of work and I couldn't pay for the school our daughter attends the scholarship helped us. We have paid out of pocket for her to attend the same school and when we were down and couldn't they were willing to help so she could be where she is making great grades A's and B's. Thanks for the help.

This scholarship is a great resource for students whose parents desire for them to attend a school that is going to hone their education and create a passion for learning.
