We need the scholarships for a better future and education of the minority groups.

Its about kids and parental rights...if the Schools were successful with all students...this would not be necessary...but since the Schools are quantitatively and empirically failing to educate large numbers of students,,,this is a just and fair way to help kids and give parents control.

As a former Catholic school principal for 30 years, I have witnessed to benefits to students and families from the initial subsidy program, HEROES to SUFS. There has been criticism from the public regarding private schools not being accountable in assessing and tracking progress. Speaking for the Catholic schools, each year the ITBS is administered. The results for SUFS students are sent to the agency, which was at the University of Florida, when I was a principal. It would be a travesty for the courts to repeal this funding. Every parent wants the best education for their children, these scholarships provide parents an opportunity to acquire the education of their choice.

Many children are benefiting from the Tax Credit Scholarship. How sad it would be to discontinue it!

Stop the lawsuits. This is a waste of our judges and tax payers money. The Step-Up-for Students program is a great program.

We live in a society controlled by the media where family and faith are no longer the mainstream of our lives. Catholic education strengthens the value of family and faith.

It is crucial that the children of our state be able to use this program.

Everyone contributes to the tax base which funds the public school system - including parents who chose to enroll their child(ren) in a faith-based educational environment. Encouraging families, in a partnership-based manner, to strive for higher standards benefits the family, community, and the state. Please continue providing assistance to families who need that helping hand.

My three children went to Catholic schools so I know how excellent these schools are. Besides the wonderful academics, children learn respect and discipline. My daughter now works at a Catholic school, and many of the students there are helped by the Tax Credit Scholarships.

My husband and I sent our children to Catholic School and they received a wonderful education. I believe it should be the parent's choice, not the state's.

SUFS is an absoutley amazing program that benefits so many children and families that are low income but don't want the education of their children to suffer because of it. Without Tuition Assistance public schools would be flooded with children who are held to a different standard of learning and are not used to public school education. It is not right to take aid away from OUR CHILDREN. They are our future..

This scholarship program has helped so many children whose parent's could not afford tuition to any private or charter school. It shows that in the right circumstances all children can learn and then get an education. There are so many dropouts from the Public School system. I'll bet these children won't drop out if school.
