Taking this program away from the single mom who can not afford a private school for their child is shameful. When the biological father purposely turns a blind eye and leaves all financial responsibility on the mother.... it's programs like this that brings justice to the situation! I'm so thankful for this program! !!

Thanks to the step up scholarship program my children get a great education in a small class room setting where the teachers have time and patience to work with them diligently.

Our school is held highly accountable for the scholarships. It is a parent;s choice as to where they want to send their child to school. Our school recently has a McKay Student graduate with his AA degree!! We give the SAT's to all of our students. We love to see children suceed and that it was the scholarships are all about!!!!

Taking this scholarship away from my child would be devastating for him.He was in private school for four years and was a below average student. Now he's in a private school & on the honor roll ! I've watched him bloom this year . Please don't take this away from these children . I plead with you !

My son has been able to acquire an education in science, history, literature and math that far exceeds the standards of our public school system. He is being stimulated to learn, and he feels secure in his environment. Many public school teachers are dedicated and long-suffering. However, their voices are sometimes silenced if their ideas and suggestions do not adhere to the bureaucratic agenda. Our family is blessed to have the option to choose an educational institution for our son not mandated by where he resides.

Its sad that people see it this way, as taking from the public schools. Do they not know that each person whom receives a scholarship for their child has to meet strict criteria to even be considered. Mostly they go to low income families. Dont be mad because I qualify and you dont. Obviously your not low income, as our country has set up a system to help the low income. I read that the checks are made out to the parents and then they choose whom the check goes to. That is not exactly how it works. You choose the approved school when applying. Then they send the check directly to the school. It NEVER gets sent to the parent. The school stamps there bank deposit information on the back, before allowing you to sign it over to them. Please dont take my kids school scholarship away. They would never succeed in big public schools. Why not focus on the Billions from the Lottery that is allegedly given to the public school system. If you ask me I say there is your scam.
