Stop The Lawsuit Against Florida's Tax Credit Scholarships (Step Up For Students)

Its sad that people see it this way, as taking from the public schools. Do they not know that each person whom receives a scholarship for their child has to meet strict criteria to even be considered. Mostly they go to low income families. Dont be mad because I qualify and you dont. Obviously your not low income, as our country has set up a system to help the low income. I read that the checks are made out to the parents and then they choose whom the check goes to. That is not exactly how it works. You choose the approved school when applying. Then they send the check directly to the school. It NEVER gets sent to the parent. The school stamps there bank deposit information on the back, before allowing you to sign it over to them. Please dont take my kids school scholarship away. They would never succeed in big public schools. Why not focus on the Billions from the Lottery that is allegedly given to the public school system. If you ask me I say there is your scam.

All three of my children go to private school, one of those three is utilizing the Step Up For Students scholarship. It has been a blessing for our children to go to private school and it should be our right to make educated choices on behalf of our children. We should not be forced by Teachers Unions - because they want to maintain their raises - as to where a private citizen should send their child. The public school system is riddled with ridiculous 'Common Core' requirements that no longer teach children how to do mathematics in a way that makes 'common sense'. The 'CORE' of this issue comes down to a union that only has concern for its members, and not the children or families.

Those fighting for this lawsuit need to fully understand what they're fighting against. Should I allow my child to go to public school where they're not held accountable? Where no respect for persons or authority is taught? Where teacher's authority is non-existent? Where there's fighting, weapons, cursing, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc? My son would be a lot different if I did not have the choice of a small school. Request the statistical data showing the difference of public vs. private school, then decide.

My daughter loves her school. Its not over crowded like our public schools and she gets more attention from her teachers. I should have a right to choose where my child will get the best education. I am so thankful for step up!
