Stop The Lawsuit Against Florida's Tax Credit Scholarships (Step Up For Students)

I am able to go to my dream school because and only because of this program, which also gives other children that werent born with wealth to go to a school that teaches the faith they believe in.

Stop the lawsuit. put tax dollars to good use.

Step up for students is a wonderful program. My daughter has been on this scholarship since Kindergarten and going to the 2nd grade. She is a straight A student. It would be a mistake taking this away from kids who love going to private school and learning.

my son has adhd and had become clinically depressed which made him not able to attend his christian school the last three months last year thank god this christian school has worked with him this year and is helping him to get caught up so he will graduate high school this year i didnt have him diagnosed until he was ten years old i was very afraid of the "drugs" because he was so younge and small however i still and always will live with the guilt of the horror abuse ect. he endured at public schools throughout first to sixth grade the teachers and students were ruthless with him verbally and he was violently beaten by two evil boys in sixth grade walking home from pinellas park middle school he made it home the first 9 days of middle school when the beating occured it was the only time i ever let him walk home however being in middle school and only 5 minetes away i thought he was safe i was so WRONG!! thats when i finally found our child a christian school however it nearly bankrupped us as we could not afford the tuition when the school told us about these programs step up for students and the mckay scholorships we were told because we paid the following year tuition at another private school we could afford to pay for his new christian school because we did not know that if he came from public school the year before we could have qualified for these programs even though the school told us to tell these programs our son could not survive in a "normal" public classroom envirment so for the past 7 years we have lost several buy here pay here cars almost been evicted have the worse credit now and are being sued from loan companies and credit card companies as well as have had four cars repossessed and we still struggle to make ends meet to this day a parent at his school said we would have qualified for up yo 800 dollars amonth in disability payments for our son who is now 18 so we lost all that help thanks to these type of ruthless people who are trying to tak

We as parent have the choice to decide which school we want our children

This is the BEST thing that ever happened to my family! I am a Single Mom who struggles tremendously and to be able to have my son in a Christian school rather than the at risk other schools is a HUGE BLESSING, This scholarship MUST continue.

This program is very beneficial to thousands of families both Christian and non Christian. As an educator in a private school, I have seen the benefits of this scholarship for families of children, who were not making it in a traditional public school setting, and I have witnessed students going on to graduate and being successful young men and women in their community. This program offers hope and a chance for students to thrive, learn on a level that meets their needs as an individual.

My daughter received a great education through Step up for Students. She has become a great member to our community and a leader.

We need help for are kids

The program has been great to my children. My oldest children are now in college and pursuing their careers. Due to the scholarships allowing me to chose the school of my choice as a christian. I believe in Jesus and the fundamentals of prayer. This scholarship allowed me to have my children in christian private schools were they were educated and taught about Jesus, I could not have afforded to have my girls go to private school with out this scholarship. Please stop lawsuit against step up for students. I personally know kids that there lives where change in a positive way thru this scholarship. One of them just graduated from private HS and when she used to be in public middle school she used to get in lots of trouble and with very bad attitude and now she is a hole diferent person on her way to finish college. Please don't take this amazing opportunity for this kids. Thank you.

This scholarship has been a huge blessing to my family. It has allowed my two children to attend a school that challenges them in a safe and encouraging environment. Last year in public school their grades were C's and some D's. Now they are both on the honor roll! They both also have ADHD so the smaller school environment is key. My husband works full time as a truck driver and I am in school so private school is an expense that would be difficult to fund right now. Every child should have a choice to better their self for their future.

The biggest problem is not giving a child with great potential a chance to choose his education. If they take away his or her choices with discontinue this program you leaving them no choice to be successful. Keep the program. You would think they want the kids in America to be as successful as other children in other countries.

I think these scholarships are amazing. I have a son with special needs and the public schools are horrible. I constantly received calls about his quality of work and how they wanted to hold him back. The teachers are not properly equipped with the skills needed to educate children that have special needs. He now goes to a private school and has the one on one he needs and smaller classes. I am very happy with his progress. This scholarship made it possible. He is also more active and recently participated in Special Olympics..

This program is amazing and needs to be kept in place. The level of education available to the children participating in this program is invaluable to them and something that their parents could not afford to do on their own. This lawsuit needs to stop now.

I support in stopping this ridiculous lawsuit. I am the father of a 10 year old son who we just enrolled into a private school here in Tampa starting the third semester of the school year. He is doing very well and has made drastic changes for the better in his new school. We should have the right to place our children wherever we deem will benefit our children for the better. This lawsuit is ridiculous and I feel that it will not stand in any court of law.
