We the residents within Zimmermann Hall feel that our personal space is being infringed upon and solicited by intrusive advertisements and media. We the residents do not want advertisements and media placed near, on, or underneath our personal doors. We believe our right to privacy should be upheld and not violated.
When items are slipped under under my door I just throw them away. Even if they have information I need. When I return from class I don't want to see or hear the paper that is right in my doorway it violates my privacy. We have mailboxes and 24/7 access to them and yet they are rarely used.

It states in the handbook that this isn't allowed. What's the point of having rules if you dismiss them whenever you feel. I personally do not want ads slid under my door, I put them right in the recycling bin without reading. Posters emails are allowed and if you need to hand out little pieces of paper, that's what the mailboxes are for.

As a Hall Council Representative and as a human being, I would really prefer if I didn't have to step on unnecessary papers that could be in my mailbox. Please stop soliciting in the halls as it is unnecessary and it causes the opposite effect for the goal you are trying to achieve
