Let the neighborhood decide!

I oppose the installation. I do not believe the design is appropriate for the neighborhood and I do not believe proper notification of the project was provided.

it is amazing what people call art just another waste of money we needed the bike/walk path we don't need to spend money on something that is not art in any way shape or form

If the neighbors dont want, neighbors should not get.

This how we use our tax dollars? Really?? It is obvious that the neighborhood does not want this statue. If this statue is erected, then it is also obvious that the powers- that-be are not listening to the people that they are suppose to serve. Do the right thing. No to the statue. PS - Which DOT official is volunteering to clean the graffiti off of the statue after each football game at the high school?

This is pointless we should be using the money for more important things in Tucson.

This statue does not complement our natural desert area. Please do not allow this art to ruin our beautiful area. Local kids routinely graffiti area signs, including the stop sign at this corner. I know this art would be a prime target. Please listen to our neighborhood and put this statue in a more appropriate setting.

Statue should blend in with the desert landscape.

This particular piece of junk was designed by a Sabino High School student. It should be placed inside the school if they are so proud of it. It does not belong outside of the school especially since the school is operating at 50% enrollment and with any luck will be closing soon like many other TUSD failed schools. It amazes me that a school with such low enrollment would even warrant the funding used to install the pedestrian crossing light that was not needed. High school kids should be capable of crossing a two lane road without the assistance of a light.

I think the money would be better spent fixing our streets, and the statue could be appreciated by more people at a more heavily traveled intersection.

Harrison and Snyder is a dangerous traffic corner already without having an added distraction.

Art is great, when it fits the environment. This art object doesn't.

This is not an appropriate location for this particular piece of "art". It would be much better suited in front of McDonald Park (south of main entrance) where there are more children and foot traffic. Bowes and Snyder have very little foot traffic and there are no crosswalks, so having a large, crosswalk related piece of art there is simply stupid. This piece also detracts from the natural beauty of the desert lanscape this far north, and again would fit in better at the park (which is still part of the bike lane improvement area). If a piece must go at Bowes and Snyder it needs to be more subdued to fit the area, and have more input from the residents. Not this out of place eye sore.

Something in keeping with our Sabino Springs/Coronado National Forest environment would be welcome. We live in a democracy; involve residents who have to live with your decision.
