Maybe a mirror or a yellow overhead light...but actual traffic lights is just insane

This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard! That hill is a nightmare in the winter without a light. Why is it the council doesn't listen to the people who LIVE HERE, they just do as they like!

I have been stuck halfway up this hill in the winter and lights will NOT help this potentially dangerous situation. Very bad idea.

Mt Albert/Centre is not a safe place for lights. Move to King/Center!!!!

Very dangerous location. Tractor trailers coming up the hill are going to have a problem if they have to stop and then start again.

Safety first - Not a good idea with the kids heading to school - and all the trucks. Lived here all my life and couldn't think of a worse suggestion. NO LIGHTS @ Centre and Mt Albert Rd

I lived here for over 20 years and couldn't think of a worse place to put a light. There isn't enough traffic in town to need one and that hill in the winter will claim lives rather than help out...

I grew up in Mount Albert. Until that hill can be modified. In winter I'll climate can make the hill impossible. Placing a stop light directly here is in poor decision planning on the town. This will cause more problems than good. Redirection of traffic flow should be considered.

Stop lights at the top of this hill will be very dangerous. It is a difficult hill to climb In the winter. Having to stop at the top will be disastrous.

I have lived in this town for 24 yrs. Putting a set of lights in that intersection is probably the dumbest idea yet. There is already a 2 way stop. It is more than sufficient and has been for al least the 24 yrs I have lived here. The potential for an accident in the winter will increase dramatically. I can say for certain that if this set of lights is installed and anyone in my family or I am involved in a accident I will hold the Region of York legally responsible and will pursue all legal remedies at my disposal to hold the Region accountable.

Agree with all the comments here. A traffic light is not needed as it will only slow down traffic. Maybe speed bumps on centre st is a better option forward to slow down speeding cars.

I have been living here 4 years and have yet to see an accident at this intersection. In the winter, with traffic lights, this intersection will be a nightmare. It will cause more traffic on King St which is completely unnecessary.

Very bad idea. It's bad enough driving that hill in the winter, can you imagine stoping at the light on a snowy day? There has to be another solution!!!!

Getting started if you are forced to stop on that hill during winter will be exceedingly dangerous. Cars will slide back. Accidents will happen. Be aware.
